Our project is funded by USDA Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) grants program, and aims to assist the CEA industry by developing novel environmental control and crop management strategies and by promoting a more robust infrastructure in support of CEA. The specific ADVANCEA project objectives are:
- Develop a data- and model-driven environmental control platform
- Validate the efficacy of the novel environmental control and crop management strategies across various climate regions and crop production systems
- Understand the socioeconomics of greenhouse technology adaptation
- Offer professional learning opportunities for workforce development
